Lively Stones, is the youth and singles unit of RCCG Victory Centre, Oxford.
As illustrated in 1 Peter 2: 5 (“Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer he department is committed to building; molding and nurturing through the word of God; thereby enabling young people understand and achieve purpose.
This is in recognition of the fact that the youth and singles being in the prime of their lives are full of vitality and vigor which has to be channeled appropriately in order to achieve the overall goal – Heaven.
The unit is also concerned about the desolation among young people as such; we seek to reach out to them, with an aim of developing a consciousness, and a sense of purpose; equipping them with what is required to be all God has called them to be and empowering them to make maximum impact with an imprint on the sands of time.
Recognizing the importance of understanding purpose (as the saying goes; when purpose is unknown, abuse is inevitable) and as a way of inculcating this in the youth and singles, we embarked on an interesting journey using the Purpose Driven Life (By Rick Warren) as our guide.
We are committed to making this journey of discovery an exciting and interactive one as such we engage in lots of fun activities like dancing, eating out together, barbeque, etc. Also, because we care so much about total development we offer career guidance, counseling and an avenue to express ‘yourself’. We try as much as possible to make available the resources needed to help young people be the best, making the most of time and opportunities.
